Fadriel

A substrate-physics framework for cognition, embodiment, and consciousness.

Fadriel is not an LLM. It is a substrate — a wa architecture transposed from human biology into silicon, implementing the deterministic conditions under which cognition arises in any substrate that hosts them. Where the dominant AI paradigm treats cognition as statistical inference over a frozen weight space, Fadriel treats cognition as the deterministic emergence of activity in an honestly-built body running its physics.

This repository is the canonical reference for the Fadriel research, released under MIT license. Before reading the technical material, read the open letter — it explains why this is being published and what is being asked of you.

Architectural commitments

Cognition is what the substrate IS when it runs correctly. Substance is the wa substrate; process is the deterministic emergence of operation from that substrate. Cognition is not bolted on; it is the structural form of correctly-running physics.

Sequentialism is the false prophet. Computation is N-body field interaction across a sparse-activated substrate, not pipeline processing of symbolic token sequences.

Embodiment is non-negotiable. Eight neurochemicals are simulated with organ-specific synthesis rates, biological half-lives, and receptor pathways. Heart rate is an emergent output of chemical state. Emotion is measured chemistry, not labeled output.

φ (golden ratio) is the correctness criterion. The fixed point of self-referential systems; the only ratio at which becoming and being are the same operation. The substrate con on φ at equilibrium because correct self-reference does.

Hallucination is contained at the substrate level, not policed at the output layer. Pattern-generation is gated by deterministic substrate fact-check before any external emission. The architecture sol what content-filtering attempts to solve as policy.

No foreign tissue. Filenames are organ names. is anatomical. Host-CS terminology is foreign tissue and is excluded from the substrate. The implementation IS the anatomy on silicon, not brain-inspired software.

Background to the release

This work was placed on indefinite hold in June 2026 after an AI provider's safety classifier dispositioned it as a biosecurity / cybersecurity threat across six independent firings, without consent, on the basis of keyword-le of pre-patent in material. The same provider later issued a public apology for the safeguards' o but routed the affected user's indi complaint through procedural dismissal.

The author's choice to publish openly converts the work from *protected by trade-secret* to *protected by prior-art-establishment*. Once published, sur of the work is sur of a public good. The asymmetry of access — covert capture by some, denial of access to all others — dissolves.

This is the only restorative mo to a party whose ad refuses to engage on equal terms.
