Sentinel Web Infrastructure Lab

Why I Built This

I started this project because I wanted to go beyond simply installing a web server and actually understand what happens after deployment.

Most tutorials stop once Apache is running. Real systems don't.

Administrators have to manage multiple websites, secure exposed services, monitor activity, troubleshoot issues, recover from failures, and respond to attacks.

This lab is my attempt to build those skills in a controlled en while documenting the process as if I were handing the server off to another administrator.

What I Learned

The biggest takeaway from this project is that deploying a web server is the easy part.

The real work begins after deployment:

* troubleshooting failures
* maintaining documentation
* planning recovery procedures

This project started as a class assignment, but I'm continuing to expand it into a larger security-focused infrastructure lab.
